Is the LO complete? It is Interesting, but I think it is better if you add color effect to the buttons, so that user realize that there are some buttons. And also, if there is transitional effect at the right hand side to show the changes of different information, it is much easy to catch my eye, and know what I am doing.

Anyway, thank you telling me the bad effect of watching TV!!!

Thanks for your suggestion. We will change the background's colour in order to show the different information of sound pollution.

Mouse over effect is very useful. I strongly agree with Christina's suggestion.

HK media comments on Donald Tsang's Blue Sky Campaign which is proposed by gave some insights on the sound pollution problem in HK. Students may have no idea about the noise produced in a construction site. But when they go to some roads in Mongkok district, they may be frightened by the noise produced by the traffic. They may even be affected when they buy things in some open shops on Nathan Road. Another noise source is their MP3 player. If the volume is set at the highest level, it is harmful to their hearing. Your LO can promote their awareness.

In addition to the sound level scale, users can be impressed by the face of the cartoon. I suggest that the face is to be distorted by the increase in the sound level.

I agree with Christina and Maxi's recommendations: add mouse over effect to dramatically improve the user interface.

I also have the following recommendations:

1) could be nice if you actually go out and record some sound sample, and let users get a feel of the noise when clicking on the different buttons.

2) you may also want to change the look of your character on the screen. (such as him having to plug his ears to avoid becoming deaf as the noise gets louder).

Dear Terrenz wong,

Yes, it is agreed with Christina's ideas that it will be better to add some mouse "over" effect on it.
Moreover, if you find it a bit inconvenience to get the sample of real sound, you may consider search it from the internet.

Cheers,
Terence

Nice work!
I also suggest that you may use the real sound. You may find it out from the internet.

The appearance is very cute and attractive. I think most children will be attracted by the LO. The presentation will be perfect if you put some sound effect into it.

Yeah! Thanks for your suggestions. We would like to produce a simple learning object that can arouse students' interest in sound pollution.
We'll try our best to add sound effect in our LO. ^_^
